Description
VTS is a digital controller designed to control the speed of high-speed, three-phase, asynchronous motors used on axial, radial or centrifugal fans in HVAC/R and industrial applications. The control principle is based on the phase-cut control balanced with the main supply which ensures accurate, dynamic control, improving energy efficiency and reducing electrical and mechanical wear and tear of the components.
Operating in slave mode, VTS is equipped with a multifunctional analog input, compatible with 0-10 V, 0-5 V, 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA and PWM signals, guaranteeing a high level of flexibility when integrating with digital controllers, thermostats or PLCs.
It also has a programmable on-off contact that can be used for the remote Start/Stop functions or TK thermal protection which can be configured using the DIP switch.
VTS is set up for isolated Modbus RTU communication which can be started up with an optional plug. When installed, the controller operates through Modbus commands only, allowing the connected master controller complete management of all the parameters, both reading and writing. This mode ensures full integration into digital architectures and BMS systems.
The device includes protections against power surges, overloading, heat anomalies and phase loss, offering a high level of operating reliability including in complex industrial environments. It is available in the IP20 version for assembly onto an electric panel or the IP55 version for direct installation.
VTS is a robust, versatile and intelligent solution to control ventilation in dry coolers, chillers and advanced HVAC/R systems.
Inputs, outputs and connectivity
- Analog input (slave): 1 multifunctional input for 0-10 V, 0-5 V, 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA or PWM signals
- Auxiliary on-off contact: 1 programmable contact (Start/Stop or TK)
- Relay: 1 relay that can be configured for alarms
- Modbus RTU connection: available thorough an optional plug (functions with Modbus only)
Special features
- Plug that enables the device to use the Modbus communication.
With this accessory, the VTS operates exclusively through ModBus commands which allow the connected Master controller to manage all the parameters in both reading and writing.
