Description
DRV is a multifunctional analog controller designed to operate in slave mode, with proportional control output through phase-cut control balanced with the main supply. It was designed to control the speed of single-phase, asynchronous motors (class F), installed on axial, radial or centrifugal fans, guaranteeing accurate, efficient function in air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, destratification, thermoventilation and air purifying systems.
Available in 8 A and 12 A versions, DRV allows continuous modulation of the AC voltage from 0% to 100% according to the analog signal received. The device includes 3 analog inputs for control (1 x 0-10 Vdc, 1 x 0-20 mA, 1 x 4-20 mA), automatically chosen in accordance with the highest value and without having to be configured. This enables the ventilation system to be managed on a flexible, immediate basis, with automatic adjustment to the most significant signal.
The advanced functions include the reverse function which enables the automatic activation to 100% of the output if the command signal is lost. This function is especially useful in applications with heat pump function modes or in emergency conditions where continuous operation is required.
With regard to safety levels, DRV has protection on the command inputs, protection against power surges of up to 275 Vac, complete galvanic isolation between the network and signal circuits, Class B EMC filter and full compatibility with the main earthing systems (IT, TT, TN).
Thanks to its compact architecture, operating stability and thehigh level of reliability, DRV is an ideal solution to control highly efficient fan units.
